Duties German Sparkassenstiftung's branch office in Uzbekistan is a subsidiary of German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation based in Bonn. Based in Tashkent, the branch office is headed by the International Country Director for Uzbekistan. In addition, the branch office currently employs five local and two international staff members. The branch office implements development cooperation projects that are funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and other donors.

The tendered services include:

1. Keeping the accounts of German Sparkassenstiftung's Uzbek branch in accordance with Uzbek legislation, including checking incoming expense receipts for legal accuracy;
2. Initiation and control of bank transfers of German Sparkassenstiftung's branch in Uzbekistan in consultation with the head of the branch (Country Director Uzbekistan);
3. Handing over receipts and invoices to the German Sparkassenstiftung branch for filing and recording in the branch's cash register;
4. Calculation and payment of taxes and duties to the responsible state collection agencies in Uzbekistan;
5. Liaising and regular financial and statistical reporting to the tax authorities, the Social Fund, the Statistical Office and other authorities in Uzbekistan, including the preparation of the annual financial statements;
6. Inventory of the tangible assets of the German Sparkassenstiftung branch in accordance with Uzbek legislation;
7. Preparation of all official decisions and instructions of the head of the branch of German Sparkassenstiftung in Uzbekistan regarding accounting;
8. Handling all personnel matters in accordance with Uzbek legislation:
- Preparation of resolutions of the Head of German Sparkassenstiftung branch regarding personnel matters;
- Completion of formalities related to recruitment and dismissal of employees;
- Calculating the salaries of the employees of German Sparkassenstiftung's branch in Uzbekistan;
- Maintaining the personnel records of all employees, preparing and implementing the holiday plan;
- Completion and recording of statutory labour books and other personnel matters.
- Management of business travel documents.
9. Cooperation with international and local auditing organisations and supervision of the auditing of German Sparkassenstiftung's branch office in accordance with Uzbek legislation.

Professional requirements Requirements profile

- University degree in finance or accounting, economics, financial management or similar;
- Several years of professional experience in the field of accounting
- Sound knowledge of the state structures of the banking, auditing and tax systems in Uzbekistan;
- Knowledge of tax law issues;
- Good knowledge of MS Office and relevant accounting software (the software licence should be available if possible);
- Knowledge of Uzbek (fluent), Russian, German or English is an advantage;
- Independent, reliable and responsible way of working;
- Strong communication skills, negotiation skills and trustworthiness;
- Analytical thinking;
- Ability to work in a team and helpfulness
