Duties |
• Design research studies, including data collection methods and analysis plans. Conduct research on specific aspects of social protection. • Analyze data from research studies to draw meaningful conclusions. • Work collaboratively with the Chief research specialist. • Support the Chief Research Specialist in the implementation of research projects and initiatives. • Stay updated with the latest research and trends in social protection. • Work closely with other specialists as well as NASP, Columbia University and UNICEF. • Share knowledge with the team and contribute to the unit's overall expertise. • Support to the stakeholders to begin the implementation of programs and projects for social protection; • Ensuring a feedback loop of project experience and actively engage in feeding information to stakeholders on projects with implications for social protection strategy and policy. • Report to Chief Research Specialist on performed work, as well as proposals for future work plan. |

Professional requirements |
• Degree in Social Work, Public Health, Sociology, or a related field with a focus on research methodologies. • Experience in conducting social research, with skills in qualitative and quantitative analysis. • Knowledge of the social, economic, and cultural context of Uzbekistan, beneficial for contextualizing research. • Strong organizational and communication skills, essential for collaborative work and documentation. • Capability to work in a multicultural setting, understanding diverse perspectives and methodologies. • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and other relevant management software. • Proven ability to produce reports and/or research papers with a good command of social protection issues. • Fluency in English is an asset. |
