| Duties | Position holder will be located at Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan and reports to the Ministry GCP/UZB/020/GFF/ Sustainable Forest and Rangelands Management in the Dryland Ecosystems of Uzbekistan Under the overall supervision of the Chief Technical Adviser and Head of PIU at Ministry of Ecology of Uzbekistan Forest Field Assistant will undertake the following. Forest Field Assistant will oversee daily implementation, management, administration and technical supervision of the project, on behalf of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan, the Forestry Agency under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan and within the framework delineated by the PSC. S/he will be responsible, among others, for: Assist in project administration and maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records of all disbursements and receipts related to the project, and use these records as the basis for preparing quarterly and annual financial reports for submission to Donor, Government etc. Provide operational support in the conduct of project activities (e.g. trainings, workshops, and input distributions, among others) by closely coordinating with relevant government, non-government counterparts, and target farmer's cooperatives/associations; Facilitate the preparation of purchase requisitions, travel requests of project staff, including consolidation, submission to and follow-up with the FAO Representation for approval; Maintain electronic and paper filing of relevant administrative and financial information; Ensure timely submission of human resource-related employment requirements for project staff (timesheets, contracts, QARs and other related documents); Prepare and regularly update the project procurement, delivery and distribution schedule in consultation with Project Coordinator; Prepare procurement documentations, solicit quotations according to FAO procurement procedures and as may be required; Assisting the financial management team with budget planning, and expense analysis. Maintaining a digital record of all financial transactions, documents, and supplier information. Maintaining an organized and comfortable office environment, ordering office supplies, and updating inventory. Compiling financial data to prepare quarterly financial reports and ensuring that project accounts are accurate and up to date. Implementing and managing the project's monitoring and communications plans; Organizing project workshops and meetings to monitor progress and preparing the Annual Budget and Work Plan; Assist in preparation of the six-monthly Project Progress Reports (PPRs) with the AWP/B to the PSC and FAO; Contribute to preparing the first draft of the Project Implementation Review (PIR); Supporting the organization of the mid-term and final evaluations in close coordination with the Project Team Leader; Assist to Project Team Leader in submitting the OP six-monthly technical and quarterly financial reports to FAO and facilitate the information exchange between the OP and FAO, if needed; Key performance indicators Expected Outputs: Work plan Brief quarterly progress report Quarterly financial reports of OP to FAO Six-month Progress reports Annual PIR Required Completion Date: 1 months after contract assignment Each quarter Each quarter Every December Every June |
