| Duties | The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan (OSCE PCUz) carries out projects that include assistance in strengthening legislation; conducting training courses; organizing seminars, conferences; and giving advice on improving the performance of state authorities, government agencies and civil society organizations. The Co-ordinator's activities are carried out on the basis of jointly developed programmes and projects that will request services of highly-qualified interpreters/translators from Uzbek into English language and from English into Uzbek languages. The OSCE PCUz requires interpreter/translator services on a continuous basis throughout the year. Interpretation Services: • To provide simultaneous/consecutive interpretation during conferences. workshops, training, professional meeting between international experts and national counterparts and other project related and general office events from Uzbek into English and from English into Uzbek Translation Services: • To provide written translation from/into English/Uzbek various legal texts. The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan therefore requires the services of a high-level professional legal knowledge interpreter who will be tasked to provide: - Expert proficiency in English and Uzbek languages with a deep understanding of legal terminology to provide simultaneous, consecutive interpretation; - written translation of project documents and other materials and during workshops, seminars, training and other project related events. - Render all spoken or written text accurately and completely, without summarizing, adding, omitting, - Maintain confidentiality, neutrality, impartiality and adhere to professional ethical standards - Work in both physical and virtual settings as required. |

| Extra motivation | • A degree or certification in interpretation, translation, linguistics, or a related field • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in the field of interpretation; • Previous work with international organizations is an asset; • Excellent written and oral communication skills; • Professional fluency in English, Uzbek. • Demonstrated understanding of legal concepts and knowledge of legal terminology. |

| Additional information: | The suitability of candidates shall be determined taking into account their qualifications, expertise, experience, and the value for money of their services.
