| Duties | Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an independent medical international humanitarian association that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural or man-made disasters. MSF is working in Uzbekistan in the field of Tuberculosis and HIV. MSF is seeking a capable, motivated, and flexible Finance Assistant to support the financial operations of its Coordination Office in Tashkent. The Finance Assistant will ensure efficient cash management, banking operations, documentation, and compliance with MSF financial policies. Key Responsibilities 1. Cash and Card Management • Manage petty cash and plastic card transactions for the Coordination Office. • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cash counts to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies. • Process daily transactions in multiple currencies and update accounting software promptly. 2. Advances and Redemptions • Issue operational advances in compliance with MSF policies. • Monitor advances and ensure timely redemption. 3. Banking Operations • Prepare online bank payments and maintain accurate bank registers in MSF accounting software. • Organize and update bank signatories and maintain proper documentation. • Reconcile monthly plastic card transactions and collect bank statements. • Execute online staff salary payments, including advances and month-end payments. 4. Documentation and Archiving • Barcode monthly bookkeeping documents and ensure proper filing and labelling. • Scan, upload, and synchronize financial documents in the Local NAS system. • Maintain standard archives for the finance department and support document management for the Tashkent project. 5. Additional Tasks • Assist with supplier invoice reconciliation and expat per diem processing. • Provide support to the Finance Accounting Manager • Cover for the Finance Accounting Manager during their absence and handle other financial tasks as requested |
