| Duties | Key Leadership Competencies 1. Strategic Leadership • Define and communicate a clear vision for Fellows, students, and alumni impact. • Set strategic priorities and long-term direction for the Training & Support function. • Lead the design of systems for monitoring, measuring, and studying impact. 2. Organisational Leadership • Build effective team systems for planning, communication, and delivery. • Manage team structures, roles, and budget allocation. • Strengthen collaboration across teams within the organisation. • Recruit, train, and mentor staff, ensuring strong performance and professional growth. • Foster a positive, professional, and values-driven team culture. Teach For Uzbekistan upholds a culture of integrity, professionalism, and collaboration, with zero tolerance for behaviours that undermine trust or organisational values. • Build and maintain strong external relationships with universities, school leaders, and government partners. 3. Instructional Leadership • Oversee the design and delivery of high-quality training and leadership development programs. • Ensure Fellows receive strong coaching and support to achieve high standards in teaching and student outcomes. • Develop and mentor staff responsible for coaching Fellows, setting clear expectations and ensuring excellent program delivery. Key Responsibilities • Lead the strategic direction of the Training & Support team. • Design and oversee the Summer Institute and ongoing Fellow development programs. • Manage Fellow coaching and support through Leadership Development Officers. • Establish systems to track and evaluate Fellow and student outcomes. • Recruit, train, and manage Training & Support staff, developing future leaders. • Build and sustain external partnerships with schools, universities, and government institutions. • Contribute to organisational leadership as part of the Senior Leadership Team. • Support Teach for Uzbekistan's role as a research-driven think tank by generating insights on education, social change, and leadership development. |

| Professional requirements | Required Experience & Education • Master's degree in Education, Social Sciences, Leadership, or related field. • At least 5 years of professional experience, including 3+ years in a managerial or leadership role with accountability for team performance. • Proven ability to lead, not just perform – track record of developing and managing people. • Experience working within or alongside the education system. Expected Knowledge • Understanding of Uzbekistan's education landscape, challenges, and opportunities. • Strong knowledge of program and curriculum design, teacher training, and coaching. • Familiarity with monitoring, evaluation, and impact frameworks. • Strong digital literacy, including the ability to use data systems, learning platforms, and analytical tools for program design and monitoring. • Fluency in English and Uzbek (both spoken and written). |
