Air Operations Officer
Duty station in Tashkent, 100%

Are you a motivated Air Operations (AirOps) Officer looking forward to taking your career to the next level? Then this is an opportunity you want to consider! The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is looking for an AirOps Officer to be based in Tashkent.

Purpose of the post Air Operations (AirOps) Officer 2 is responsible for coordinating ground and flight operations to ensure proper transport of passengers, luggage, cargo, and diplomatic mail.
Main duties and responsibilities * Meets and greets all ICRC passengers departing/arriving with RED * Tags and weighs passenger's luggage to each destination * Informs crew if passengers exceed max. baggage allowance. * Keeps crew advised on last minute changes to the schedule occurred at check in * Responsible for passengers' transfer to/from Airport as per published flight schedule. * Responsible for passengers processing to/from the aircraft. * Responsible for the liaison and monitoring of all the airport's service providers as per contractual conditions. e.g. Handling agent, Fuel supplier, Airport services. * Sends departure message to KBL and AOM (Air Operations Manager) immediately after take-off. * Establishes and maintains good working relationships with all engaged parties at the airport * Ensures Air Operations Management System is up to date with all financial and time data for statistical purposes. * Checks and process invoice from the supplier. * Keeps AirOps statistics, reporting and documentation up to date. * Communication with relevant authorities related to movement of aircraft parts. * Preparation of documents (letters) related to movement of parts and crew. * Responsible for analyzing related invoices (fuel, airport charges and others) * Coordinates with all departments on arrival and departure of ICRC passengers and aircraft. * Coordinates with Logistics department if/when cargo must be shipped to Afghanistan. * Coordinates with the operator, Welcome department for visa request for incoming crews * Coordinates with Welcome for hotel bookings of crew * Handles, files and archives all documents related to the management of the flights. |

Professional requirements |
Desired profile and skills * Diploma in aviation and/or a combination of education, professional training, certification in air transport and relevant work experience. * Additional vocational training in logistics or aviation an asset. * Fluent command of both spoken and written English. * Advanced computer skills including working knowledge of Flight planning and Flight departure Control systems. * Work experience in a field related to air transportation required. * A minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience at an airline, flight department or airport. * Experience with a humanitarian agency an asset. * Knowledge of technical aviation terminology.
