| Duties | About the Role We are looking for a Legal Counsel / Contract Manager to oversee and manage all contractual aspects of our business, ensuring compliance with both private and public contract regulations while minimizing legal risks. As part of a dynamic company, you will play a key role in structuring and securing our contractual engagements. Key Responsibilities: • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of private and public contracts, including procurement agreements, service contracts, and commercial partnerships. • Ensure compliance with commercial law, public procurement regulations, and contractual obligations. • Identify legal risks in business transactions and propose risk mitigation strategies. • Provide strategic legal advice to management on contract-related matters and regulatory compliance. • Support contract execution, amendments, and dispute resolution processes. • Monitor legal developments and ensure their integration into company practices. • Collaborate closely with internal teams (finance, procurement, operations) to optimize contract management. • Manage external legal advisors when necessary. |

| Professional requirements | Qualifications & Skills: • Law degree (LL.B, LL.M, or equivalent) with a focus on contract law or commercial law. • 5 to 7 years of experience in contract management, legal advisory, or a similar role, preferably in a corporate or SME environment. • Strong expertise in private contracts, public procurement, and commercial law. • Proactively identify legal issues at the earliest opportunity and develop and implement strategies to address them. • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills. • Ability to work autonomously and provide pragmatic legal solutions in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. • Fluent in English, Russian and Uzbek (additional languages are a plus). • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., infrastructure, energy, public services) is an advantage. |

| Additional information: | For 160 years, SUEZ has been a key player in environmental services. Today, our services span across, water services, recycling and recovery & air quality. Permanent entity of the French company SUEZ International SAS in Tashkent. The company has signed a 7-year contract with Tashkent city municipality and the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services on March 7, 2020. Project started in August 01, 2023. Project: Tashkent water transformation plan The total budget of the project is 185.4 million euros, of which 142 million euros will be disbursed through loans from leading European banks - the funds will be used to modernize urban water supply and sewerage networks and improve their management in accordance with the highest international standards. Main activity: • Upgrade Tashkent water public service to an international standard • Bring the experience of SUEZ, introduce modern technologies, equipment and software to improve the management of drinking water supply and sewage system in the city of Tashkent • Improve financial sustainability of the water service. |
