Duties Organizational context and Scope:
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission, and direct supervision of the Senior Data and Research Assistant, and in close coordination with the Senior Regional Project Manager (DTM REMAP)in IOM's Global DTM Support team in Berlin, Germany and the Subregional DTM Coordinator in Almaty, Kazakhstan the Project Assistant will assist in the implementation of the Mobility Tracking Matrix (MTM) Regional Evidence for Migration Analysis and Policy (REMAP) project activities.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1.Assist in timely planning and implementation of the Mobility Tracking Matrix (MTM) Regional Evidence for Migration Analysis and Policy (REMAP) project' and data related programme activities in Uzbekistan, taking steps to achieve the project indicators, as well as considering the cross-cutting issues and disaggregated data collection.
2.Support the reporting analysis and visualization of MTM data in English, Russian and Uzbek language and provide statistical information from public sources, as might be required. Ensure consistency and accuracy in data quality reporting and visualization.
3.Translate reports composed in English to produce accurate and complete versions into Russian and Uzbek language and vice versa using the most appropriate terminology and commonly accepted or established equivalents of professional scientific or technical concepts and terms.
4.Maintain rapid speed and high volume of output to meet tight production deadlines on translations while maintaining high quality translation with due diligence being taken of the complexity of text assigned.
5.Assist in the development of MTM assessment and survey tools and training of field teams when needed.
6.Assist with organizing briefing/debriefing sessions with involved stakeholders and consultants to better monitor data collection issues encountered in the field and make propositions of adjustments, as might be required.
7.Liaison and coordination with state partners and local stakeholder to address field access issues, as might be required.
8.Undertake field visits, as might be required to assist in project implementation, to support data collection, and monitor project progress. Participate in field operations to support data entry process, as might be required.
9.Respect IOM's Data Protection Principles; ensure compliance to relevant IOM policies, especially on Data Protection and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) standards on data and information security. Ensure relevant standards, manuals, and guidelines are integrated into the DTM implementation, especially IOM Data Protection Manual and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) standards.
10.Support sub-regional data and research activities in Central Asia Missions when needed.
11.Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Professional requirements Required qualifications and experience education:

EDUCATION:
•University degree / Diploma in Information Technology, Computer science, Humanitarian, Political or Social Science, Data Management, Statistics, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant experience or High School Diploma in the above fields with five years of relevant working experience.

EXPERIENCE:
•Experience in statistical tools, reporting, liaising with government authorities; preferably within the international humanitarian field.
•Experience and proficiency in creating and editing documents in Adobe InDesign
•Experience in the field of migration issues, including operational and field experience, project development, project management and resource mobilization.
•Demonstrated expertise in the field of migration.
•Knowledge of monitoring; knowledge of donor landscape in the region is a distinct advantage.
•Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.

SKILLS:
•In-depth knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas dealt with by the Organization; and,
•Proficiency in the usage of Microsoft Office (MS Word PowerPoint and Excel etc.) and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign Photoshop and Illustrator)
•Ability to compile and holistically analyse diverse datasets, database development is a distinct advantage.

LANGUAGES:
Fluency in English, Uzbek and Russian (oral and written) is required
Working knowledge of other Central Asian languages is desirable
