| Duties | GIZ project "Private sector development and economic policy advice for green industrialization in Uzbekistan" is looking for a Advisor with the following tasks: • Facilitate dialogue between public institutions, private sector actors and academia to sup-port the development of the green economy; maintain strong relationships with key political and business stakeholders at all levels. • Provide strategic and technical advice to relevant ministries on green growth, green industrialization and sustainable private sector development, and offer expert guidance to SMEs, business associations and industrial zones on energy and resource efficient production. • Plan and implement capacity building activities for public sector staff and private sector stakeholders, including training courses, workshops, trade fairs and information events. • Ensure coordination with other GIZ projects and international development partners to align activities and create synergies in the field of green industrialization. • Prepare and manage local and international contracts for consultants and service providers, ensuring quality and timely delivery of outputs. • Ensure timely reporting to management and M&E, and prepare technical inputs, presentations, and knowledge products to document results and share lessons learned. |

| Professional requirements | Higher education degree in economics, management, international relations, engineering, or other relevant qualification; At least three years of professional working experience in a similar position with an international or national organization; Good knowledge of the economy of Uzbekistan and the industrial sector of Uzbekistan; Confidence and ability to work with politicians in a diplomatic but clear way; Good organisational, reporting and communication skills; High motivation and ability to work independently as well as in a team and meet tight dead-lines without compromising the quality of outputs; Excellent command of MS Office; Language requirements: fluency in written and spoken English, Uzbek, and Russian. Knowledge of German would be an advantage. |
