Duties |
BDO AUDIT LLC Uzbekistan, a member of the international BDO network, is looking for a skilled and motivated A Senior Tax and Accounting Specialist to join our growing team in Tashkent.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform full-cycle accounting, including bookkeeping of fixed assets, inventory, accounts receivable and payable, and cash flow operations.
Process payroll calculations, including bonuses, vacation pay, and other employee compensations.
Ensure accurate and timely calculation, reporting, and submission of all tax declarations in accordance with local legislation.
Prepare financial, budgetary, and statistical reports as per internal and regulatory deadlines.
Monitor and reconcile accounts; ensure accuracy of records and compliance with accounting standards.
Liaise with regulatory authorities, including tax offices, treasury departments, and statistical agencies.
Maintain documentation for external and internal audits, ensuring transparency and compliance.
Work with electronic document systems (e.g. bank-client platforms, Didox, contracts, etc.).
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Assist with process improvements and implementation of best accounting practices. |

Candidate Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Taxation, or a related field.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in accounting under national standards.
Experience in various sectors such as services, trade, or manufacturing is highly desirable.
Background in public sector institutions or international NGOs is considered a plus. Professional Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent knowledge of the accounting and tax legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Strong understanding of national accounting standards and budget accounting principles.
Proficient in 1C: Accounting (preferably version 8.3 and above).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
Hands-on experience with electronic document management systems: bank-client platforms, Didox, foreign currency contracts, lease agreements, HR documentation, etc.
Practical knowledge of taxation for both individuals and legal entities.
Solid experience in preparing and submitting tax, financial, and statistical reports on time.
Languages:
Fluent in Russian (written and spoken).
Advanced English (able to read professional materials, correspond in a business context, and communicate with international stakeholders).
Knowledge of Uzbek is an advantage.

Ability to manage high volumes of data and prioritize tasks effectively.
