Background:
The Fund Administration Unit provides administrative and financial support to the Mission. Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Fund Administration, the incumbent is responsible for cleaning and keeping in orderly condition the premises of the Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Fund Administration and under the coordination of Senior Procurement and Asset Management Assistant, the successful candidate will be tasked with the following duties:
Cleans offices, conference room, hallway, kitchen, toilets, server and storage rooms (h) Dusts furniture, office and IT equipment; cleans doors, windows and walls. (b) Mops, washes or vacuums floors and carpets (i) Empties waste bins into trash containers (j) Washes the toilets accessories (e) Replenishes dispensers. (f) Washes used dishes deposited by staff members in kitchen corners during the day. (g) Keeps cleaning equipment clean and in working order; advises the supervisor of the need to replace identified equipment. (k) Keeps stock of household supplies in order. Regularly prepares information on consumption of the supplies. Informs the supervisor of low stocks of cleaning tools, solutions, powder, soap, kitchen supplies and related accessories. (l) Performs related duties as assigned (a) Places glasses, cups, drinking water and coffee on conference tables; arranges chairs in conference rooms. (m) Prepares hot and cold refreshments for meetings. (n) Serves meetings/conferences/trainings held in the office as and when required. (o) Provides administrative support to the procurement of household supplies and services for the office; upon direction purchase supplies and liaise with vendors on administrative matters. |

Professional requirements |
Primary education. No particular specialised experience is required to perform the tasks assigned. The work requires knowledge of simple machine operations and use of cleaning materials/solutions. Knowledge of Russian; knowledge of Uzbek and English languages would be an asset; Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities; Ability and willingness to work as a member of team, with people of different cultural, and religious backgrounds, different gender, and diverse political views, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity. |
