| Duties | Position Summary: The Field Deployment Engineer – Wireless Systems plays a key role in the deployment, configuration, and technical support of the wireless communication infrastructure for smart metering systems, with a focus on WM-Bus technology. This position is hands-on and field-oriented, while also requiring strong coordination and communication with subcontractors and internal technical teams. Key responsibilities include the configuration of WM-Bus gateways using dedicated software tools, training subcontractors for correct installation and operation, and using specialized systems to support the deployment and monitoring of the radio communication infrastructure. The role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to gateway performance, collaborating with the technical department to address complex problems, and contributing to the preparation of technical documentation such as Terms of Reference (ToRs), KPIs, and training materials. This position is ideal for a technically skilled individual with experience in wireless communication systems and a proactive approach to fieldwork, troubleshooting, and team coordination. Responsibilities & Duties: • Configure WM-Bus gateways through a specialized tool, ensuring proper setup for integration with the overall wireless communication infrastructure • Supervise the installation of communication devices, ensuring correct setup and operation of WM-Bus gateways and related systems. • Monitor devices, applications, and resources regularly, generating reports on device utilization, and perform regular maintenance and capacity planning to ensure optimal performance. • Diagnose and propose solutions for communication issues and implement corrective actions to restore functionality. • Create, maintain, and update documentation related to system configurations, processes, user records, and other technical materials. • Prepare technical Terms of References (ToRs) for Data Center and infrastructure projects, ensuring all specifications are met. • Lead in emergencies, securing assets, minimizing disruption, quickly identifying problems, and implementing timely solutions. • Replace gateways as needed to ensure the integrity and performance of the communication system. • Develop KPIs for installation subcontractors, ensuring measurable and achievable targets for performance. • Coordinate the work of installation companies, ensuring KPIs are met and timelines are adhered to. • Protect data and applications by implementing measures to minimize risks to the wireless communication infrastructure, ensuring cybersecurity best practices are followed. • Provide off-hour support if required, ensuring continued operation of systems and timely issue resolution. • Identify inefficiencies in workflows and propose solutions to improve processes and increase efficiency. • Ensure safety compliance at the facility, particularly during materials handling, loading, unloading, storage, and transportation, in line with safety regulations. • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, ensuring no unauthorized disclosure of company assets, data, or documents. • This role may involve additional tasks within the competence of the incumbent as needed. |

| Professional requirements | Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. • 2–5 years of experience in wireless communication systems, IoT infrastructure deployment, or field engineering roles. Experience with WM-Bus or similar protocols (LoRaWAN , NB-IoT) is a strong advantage • Experience in the configuration of wireless communication gateways using specialized software tools. • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites around Tashkent. • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to RF communication, gateway connectivity, and system integration. • Solid understanding of IT/networking fundamentals (IP addressing, LAN/WAN, remote access) relevant to device communication. • Proficiency in English and Russian languages. Special Skills/Abilities Needed: • Familiarity with LoRaWAN and Wireless M-Bus communication protocols. • Experience with IT system integration and migration, especially in infrastructure or metering-related environments. • Proficiency in operating industry-specific equipment used in wireless communication and smart metering deployments. • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, subcontractors, customers, and supervisors. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across various levels of the organization. • Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving approach. • Effective time management and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet strict deadlines. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a dynamic field environment. • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to document and explain technical issues clearly. • A proactive, customer-focused attitude with a commitment to high-quality service delivery. • Hardworking, enthusiastic, and dynamic personality with a can-do mindset. • High level of consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail in all aspects of work Experience specifications: • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in wireless communication systems, field engineering, or smart infrastructure deployment. |
