| Duties | The specific duties of the Forest Landscape Restoration Coordinator include the following: a. Lead the development and implementation of forest landscape restoration initiatives within the project, including the assessment of degraded forest areas, identification of restoration priorities, and design of restoration interventions. b. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, Forestry Enterprises, and technical experts, to develop and implement forest restoration plans that integrate ecological, social, and economic considerations. c. Provide technical guidance and capacity building to project stakeholders on forest restoration techniques, monitoring and evaluation methods, and sustainable forest management practices. d. Assist in project planning, budgeting, and monitoring, and contribute to the preparation of project reports, progress updates, and other documentation as required. e. Coordinate project activities under component 2 and liaise with project partners to ensure alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgetary constraints. f. Support the Project Manager in day-to-day project management tasks, including planning and supervision the activities of 12 technical specialist in 6 regions as needed. g. Represent the project in meetings, workshops, and conferences related to forest landscape restoration, and contribute to knowledge sharing and networking efforts. h. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager to support the successful implementation of project activities. |

| Professional requirements | Higher or technical education (forestry, land management, natural resource management, etc.) with at least 5 years of experience in forest management positions or equivalent combination of education and experience; Excellent knowledge of forestry management, land management; Experience relevant for the position in the World Bank projects or other donor funded projects is highly preferable; Knowledge of English, Russian and Uzbek languages; Excellent IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. |
