| Duties | GIZ Project "Trade Facilitation in Central Asia (TFCA) / Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor (TCTC) Capacity Development" is hiring a project assistant. Main tasks and responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive administrative, organizational and logistical support to the program team and ensures the smooth day-to-day functioning of the program office; • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including drafting, maintaining and coor-dinating correspondence with national, regional and international partners and stakehold-ers; • Support the preparation and implementation of visitor programs for international experts, consultants and partner organizations, including arranging accommodation, transfers and other logistical requirements and assisting with visa procedures; • Assist in preparing mission and travel schedules and arranges domestic and international travel, including procurement of tickets and accommodation for project staff, partners, experts and visitors; • Provide reception and general assistance to visitors and ensure their appropriate redirec-tion and support; • Support the procurement of office materials and other goods and services required for pro-ject activities and office operations, including the preparation and processing of small local contracts up to EUR 1000; • Support administrative and financial procedures by checking vouchers, invoices, receipts and other accounting documentation for completeness and correctness in accordance with GIZ standards, and assist in the preparation and processing of relevant financial and ac-counting documents; • Maintain inventory lists and ensure proper documentation, safekeeping and handover of equipment and other project assets; • Support the preparation and coordination of internal and external project audits and provide relevant administrative documentation as required; • Ensure the systematic filing and archiving of administrative, financial and project docu-ments in reference files corporate archive system in accordance with GIZ filing rules; • Support programmatic implementation through desk research, preparation of background reports, analyses and other project-related materials; • Document project activities by preparing minutes, protocols and other relevant records; • Provide consecutive interpretation and translation between English, Russian and Uzbek (if it will be needed) for the international experts, consultants and partners, as required; • Perform copying, scanning and other routine administrative tasks as required; • Handle administrative and financial information responsibly and maintains confidentiality in accordance with GIZ rules and procedures. |

| Professional requirements | • University degree in economics, business administration, international relations or other relevant fields • At least 2 years of professional experience in the field of program and administrative assistance, translation, and interpretation. Experience of working with international development cooperation programs is an asset • Ability to express self well both verbally and in written in English, Russian and Uzbek; pol-ished, target-group oriented style; knowledge of German would be an asset • Very working knowledge of IT technologies and computer applications; • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in multicultural environment • Knowledge of GIZ procedures and regulations would be an asset. |
