| Duties | Background: The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan (PCUz) is mandated to assist the Host Country in its efforts to ensure security and stability, including the fight against terrorism, violent extremism, drug trafficking, and other threats; to support the country's socio-economic and civil society development; to help protect the country's environment; and to assist the government in the implementation of its commitments taken within the OSCE framework, including those related to the development of civil society. The Co-ordinator's activities are carried out on the basis of jointly developed programmes and projects. The post is located in the Economic and Environmental Department within the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan. It is an extra-budgetary (ExB) post within the project "Platform for Environment and Climate Engagement in Central Asia (PEaCE CA): Improving Access to Green Information and Opportunities for Women and Youth that is currently envisaged to last for 18 months. This ExB project is managed by the OSCE Office Coordinator of Economic and Environmental Activities (OCEEA). The project focuses on improving access to environmental information through the establishment of a Green Digital Platform, expanding learning and employment pathways in the green sector, and enhancing the visibility of environmental and climate initiatives through regional co-operation and media engagement. In addition to this post, the project also comprises the following ExB posts: one NP1. Tasks and Responsibilities: Under the overall supervision of the EED Senior Project Officer, the successful candidate will be tasked with the following duties 1. Assists in the development and implementation of project activities by liaising with counterparts and facilitating their participation, drafts terms of reference for the employment of consultants and implementing partners, and monitors the implementation of activities and submission of reports by the implementing partners and consultants. 2. Performs all administrative tasks, such as schedules and arrangements for meetings and other events, reservations, budget follow-up, and research for information and reference material. Prepares requests/documents, e.g. requisitions, travel requests/authorizations, expenditure authorizations, visa applications, etc. 3. Initiates and follows up on actions related to requisitions, recruitment of consultants, training and study tours, purchase of services and goods, payments, travel authorizations, requests/claims and all related inquiries. 4. Keeps track of pending matters and follows up with other offices on deadlines, as well as on budget and expenditures for specific project outcomes, outputs and/or activities, giving estimates of costs for individual project activities and proposing budgetary and/or expenditure adjustments to supervisor. 5. Assists in establishing and maintaining relations with project stakeholders; ensuring co-ordination and planning of the project activities with relevant partners inside and outside the Organization. 6. Performs other duties as assigned in support of the EED portfolio. |

| Professional requirements | Education: • Completed secondary education; a relevant specialized training in project management, IT or administration is desirable; • For posts in the General Service category, a university degree may be considered as a substitute for one year of work experience, and a second-level university degree for two years of work experience Experience and knowledge/skills: • A minimum of five (5) years' work experience in project administration • Experience in project planning, implementation and reporting • Ability to conduct research and collect information from a variety of sources • Experience with website content management systems, online platforms or digital communication tools would be considered a strong asset. Languages: • Professional fluency in English and Uzbek and Russian. |

| Extra motivation | Remuneration Package: Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deduction, is USD 1190.00 as per the relevant OSCE salary scale. Appointments are normally made at Step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. In exceptional cases, an initial appointment at up to Step 3 may be considered. This depends on factors such as relevant experience exceeding minimum requirements or higher previous remuneration. Any such request by a candidate must be reviewed and approved by the OSCE before the appointment. |
