| Duties | The Representative Office of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Uzbekistan is pleased to announce an open internship position in the project "Private Sector Development and Economic Policy Advice in Uzbekistan". The project supports the Government of Uzbekistan and private-sector partners in promoting sustainable economic development, green industrialization and improved competitiveness of enterprises. In particular, the project contributes to the development and implementation of measures in areas such as resource efficiency, decarbonization, green business development services, eco-industrial parks, industrial policy and cooperation with the German and European private sector. The project works closely with partner ministries, business associations, companies, service providers and international organizations. It supports capacity development, policy dialogue, and pilot activities with enterprises and industrial zones. Overview of the assignment: Fixed-term full-time position: 3 months with possible prolongation. overall maximum internship duration - 6 months Expected starting date: August 2026 Responsibilities: The intern will support the project team in implementing project activities. The main tasks include: • Support the preparation and organization of project activities, including workshops, trainings, conferences, round tables, business meetings and study visits; • Assist in preparing background research, brief overviews, stakeholder mappings, Excel tables, presentations and other project-related materials; • Support the collection, structuring and visualization of information related to green economy, economic policy, and private sector development; • Provide written and oral support in translating and interpreting documents, presentations, correspondence and meetings in English, Russian and Uzbek; • Support communication and knowledge management activities, including drafting short summaries, event notes and inputs for reports; • Assist the technical and administrative staff of the project with other organizational, logistical and administrative tasks as needed. |

| Professional requirements | Education: • Currently enrolled as a 3rd or 4th year university student, a Master's student, or recently graduated (max. 6 months ago) in an area relevant to the project. Professional experience: • Previous work experience is not required, but considered an additional asset. Other knowledge, additional competences: • Fluent in English, Russian and Uzbek. The German language would be an asset; • Accuracy, reliability, and responsibility; • Dedicated to tasks and attentive to details. • Customer and service-oriented attitude; • Good working knowledge of ITC technologies (Microsoft Office software, email, and familiar with internet research) |
