| Duties | The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in Uzbekistan is looking for an Advisor for the project "Support to the implementation of the health strategy in Uzbekistan". Main duties of the Advisor: Responsible for the implementation of component activities in the field of health care financing, health insurance; Provide support and advise to the component/project manager in planning, implementing, monitoring and reporting of component activities; Provide technical advice and guidance to MoH, SHIF and other partner institution(s); (jointly with partners) prepare, implement and document training events, workshops, forums, team meetings and other project activities; Draw up reports and presentation documents in Uzbek, Russian and English languages based on global and international evidence based policies and strategies; Maintain a good flow of communication and information between all involved Uzbekistan Institutions and counterparts and the GIZ project; Proven ability to identify needs, in concept and strategy development in curricula and trainings for hospital management training programs; Identification of needs for external support and advice in improving the education, study, and training of hospital managers and other staff being responsible for i.e. staff management, implementation of health care financing and other elements of hospital management. |

| Professional requirements | • Relevant University degree (Bachelor's in medicine or equivalent; Master/MSc or doctorate in medicine, medical education, social science with focus on public health, health economy or equivalent); • 10 years of professional experience: with at least 5 years of professional experience in a comparable position and 5-8 years of professional experience in working for international donor organization(s) in health sector and in collaboration with Uzbek MoH and other governmental institutions; • Professional experiences in the field of health financing reforms and social health insurance; •Very good knowledge of the health sector in UZB; • Fluent written and oral knowledge of Uzbek, English and Russian; |
