| Duties | GIZ Service Unit opens a vacancy of Procurement and Contracting Specialist. The position holder is expected to support several GIZ projects. Responsibilities: • Implement local procurement of goods and services for GIZ projects, in particular market monitoring, competition implementation and contract management in accordance with GIZ regulations and, wherever necessary, in coordination with GIZ headquarters and/or GIZ Country office/s; • Prepare and draft consultancy/appraisal/ services/ goods contracts; • Inform and communicate promptly with the involved parties and suppliers on the status of the respective procurements, especially in the event of delays and unforeseen developments; • Advise project staff on procurement issues and applicable regulations; • Manage and archive documentation as prescribed; • Monitor and comply with sanctions list checking rules; • Organize project events/activities and related procurement; • Coordinate and arrange business travels, including booking flights/train tickets, accommodation, ground transportation and etc.; • Process procurement related documents in online platforms; • Substitute colleagues in the similar working scope when needed. |

| Professional requirements | • University decree in Business Administration or similar; • At least 5 years of work experience in relevant position; • Fluent in English and Russian Languages, Good knowledge of Uzbek language. German is an asset; • Good working knowledge of ITC technologies; • Good organizational, communication and negotiation skills. |
