| Duties | Position Title: Case Management Associate (MiMOSA) to the Migrants Protection Unit Contract Type: Special Short Term Graded (Up to 9 months) Position Grade: G5 Duty Station: Tashkent, Uzbekistan Organizational Context and Scope: Under the overall supervision of the Head of Office and direct supervision of the National Project Officer on Protection, the Case Management Associate (MiMOSA) supports IOM Mission in Uzbekistan in assisting with the implementation of return and reintegration assistance to vulnerable migrants with special focus to women, including victims of traffic in persons under Protection of Vulnerable Migrants with Special Emphasis on Empowering Women in the Context of Migration in Central Asia (the country component) project funded by Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other protection related cases, including Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) programmes/cases at IOM Mission in Uzbekistan, Victims of Trafficking (VOT) projects implemented by IOM Uzbekistan in cooperation with respective Units at the Mission, as well as in coordination with sending/receiving IOM Missions and other Offices and partners. The incumbent performs the following functions. Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 1.Maintain communication and liaison with respective IOM Missions and Offices globally, as well as other stakeholders, on case-related matters, including follow-up on documentation, case status and dealing with return, reintegration, AVR(R) and other protection cases/programmes involving Uzbek residents and foreign citizens in Uzbekistan with special focus to women in the context of migration. 2.Undertake case management support activities in an assigned area or areas, such as file handling, programme access, pre-screening, coordination with field staff, scheduling and pre-departure services in accordance with IOM standards, procedures and national and international legislation. 3.Assist in the efficient and effective management of beneficiaries' case files and related documentation, including creating, distributing, tracking, scanning and organizing files and preparing travel and other necessary documentation packets. 4.Undertake beneficiaries form fill interviews for the purpose of recording biographical information, including accurately completing necessary forms, entering data into the databases, scanning, photocopying, attaching, and filling documents, translating unofficial documents, and photographing applicants in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 5.Provide information support to sending IOM Missions if required, including in their communication with respective Uzbek consulates abroad and other non-government stakeholders, as might be required on visa, screening, and other related issues. 6.Assist with collecting and recording information relevant to identifying protection concerns, and refer cases to supervisors, as required. 7.Provide pre-departure/pre-return guidance, as might be required under the rules and procedures of IOM and sending Missions to the cases being covered by programmes/projects. 8.Provide arrival/reception assistance and arrange onward transportation to the final destination, as required. 9.Provide informational and practical support to beneficiaries on case management procedures. 10.Provide guidance to beneficiaries on reintegration components, including support in preparing basic business plans; liaise with potential vendors, including goods and service providers; and coordinate the reintegration component with respective (sending) Missions as required. 11.Assist in placement of beneficiaries in need of (temporary) shelter (housing), as might be required. 12.Assist with reintegration support to beneficiaries, as might be required based on individual needs assessment and in coordination with sending Missions. 13.Support the coordination of delivery of reintegration assistance to beneficiaries as might be required. 14.Insert all information related to case management files to MIMOSA in a timely manner, collect and maintain up-to-date disaggregated data of assisted cases using IOM corporate e-systems. 15.Liaison with national stakeholders in Uzbekistan, IOM Offices, and partner-NGOs inside and outside of Uzbekistan engaged in provision of assistance to beneficiaries on collection of data on receiving of assistance from the Mission. 16.Assist in the preparation, implementation and finalization of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) activities, as required. 17.Undertake reporting activities on case management at IOM Uzbekistan and provide regular and ad hoc updates on the status of assistance to the Senior Project Associate on the status of the provided assistance, the number of covered beneficiaries, including basic disaggregated data (e.g. age, gender and type of exploitation faced by vulnerable migrants and victims of traffic in persons) as well as the status of a beneficiary information at MIMOSA, as required. 18.Support awareness raising activities on the risks of irregular migration, as required. 19.Support outreach and capacity building activities on case management, as required. 20.Assist with the preparation and dissemination of case management related information materials especially to reach potential beneficiaries. 21. Liaise with respective government and non-government entities in Uzbekistan to refer and assist beneficiaries and support cooperation with concerned government institutions of Uzbekistan, as required. 22.Participate in meetings with the IOM Country Office and provide inputs on case management and operational issues, as required. 23.Undertake other tasks within the incumbent's capacity, as might be identified and assigned by the supervisor. |

| Professional requirements | Required Qualifications and Experience EDUCATION •High school diploma with five years of relevant experience; or, •Bachelor's degree preferably in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Social Sciences, and/or other relevant field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant experience. EXPERIENCE •Experience working with vulnerable individuals is desirable. •Knowledge of general related trends, processes in Uzbekistan is an asset. •Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation is desirable. •Experience in liaising with UN Agencies and/or other international organizations, government agencies and NGOs is an asset. •Experience supporting project implementation. SKILLS •Good interpersonal and communication skills. •Good data collection, basic analysis, reporting and writing skills. •Knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas dealt with by IOM is an asset. •Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming. Languages REQUIRED Fluency in English, Uzbek (oral and written) is required. DESIRABLE Russian is desirable.
