| Duties | • Lead the development and implementation of ecotourism initiatives within the project, including the assessment of ecotourism potential, identification of ecotourism sites, and design of ecotourism products and experiences. • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, NGOs, and tourism operators, to promote community-based ecotourism and ensure the sustainable management of natural resources. • Provide technical assistance and capacity building to project stakeholders, including training on ecotourism principles, sustainable tourism practices, and community engagement strategies. • Assist in project planning, budgeting, and monitoring, and contribute to the preparation of project reports, progress updates, and other documentation as required. • Coordinate project activities and liaise with project partners to ensure alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgetary constraints. • Support the Project Manager in day-to-day project management tasks, including procurement, contracting, and financial management, as needed. • Represent the project in meetings, workshops, and conferences related to ecotourism development, and contribute to knowledge sharing and networking efforts. • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager to support the successful implementation of project activities. • Establish a professional network with government stakeholders related to Ecotourism. • Ensure that the project activities related to Ecotourism is implemented in compliance with the project's operations manual. • Identify touristic sites in the project area and design activities to conserve, rehabilitate, and its development as a tourist attraction. • Keep the Project Manager updated on the progress of activities and flag any related issues regarding component 3. • Lead evaluation the potential of eco-tourism in the forest area: Natural resources (Rivers, streams, lakes, mountain peaks, forest resources, spots with beautiful views, etc.) and Cultural resources (tangible and intangible culture). • Prepare progress updates, reports, presentations, etc. • Other duties assigned by the Project Manager. |

| Professional requirements | • Having a university degree, with major in Social Science, Tourism, natural resource management or other relevant areas; • Having at least 3 years of relevant experience in projects/programs in the regions, experience in nature tourism or community tourism; • Demonstrated experience in development of at least one plan on ecotourism/community tourism; • Experience relevant for the position in the World Bank projects or other donor funded projects is highly preferable; • Knowledge of English, Uzbek and Russian languages; Excellent IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. |
