Duties |
Role Purpose: To work as a member of Project Delivery and Customer Management Team to promote the UK and the British Council as a valued partner and source of expertise and to coordinate and deliver excellent customer service to British Council visitors, customers and contacts.
To support management and delivery of key parts of the British Council's English and Education Reform programme in Uzbekistan in order to meet agreed impact and income targets.

Main accountabilities: • Monitoring and managing project activities against project deadlines • Planning and reporting on project financial plans and budget expenditure and forecasting to Project Managers and Senior Programme Manager. • Managing of activity budgets. • Maintaining clear and up-to-date records on all financial transactions as per audit requirements. • Ensuring relationships with vendors are maintained and payments are processed on time and following FABS online system (SAP Finance) guidelines. • Holding vendors and suppliers to account for delivering services. • Ensuring compliance with British Council financial policies and procedures. • Data management, including timely data entry, quality assurance of data, undertaking basic analysis of monitoring data, and developing progress reports to meet the needs of funders. • Supporting internal compliance such as due diligence, records management, data collection and storage. • Managing grants administration, selection & evaluation, and procurement processes. • Managing events-based components and training within a programme. • Supporting the Project Managers in implementing diversity mainstreaming action plans and contributing to them. • Managing relationships with clients/partners/stakeholders at appropriate levels. • Managing relationships with vendors and suppliers and holding them to account for delivering services. • Overseeing programme procurement policy |

*This role is subject to the confirmation of programme funding by the client* Expected start date October 2024.
*Consultancy contract will be offered until 31 March 2025 in the first instance, renewable subject to programme extension by the client for a further 1-2 years*
