We are looking for Assistant / Interpreter to join our growing team in Surkhandarya region, Denov city, Uzbekistan!

Position Summary:

Responsible for handling organizational and clerical support tasks and assist with the translation of all types of data from the source language into a designated language as well as interpret during the meetings with correct relay of the speech to the meeting participants.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Perform interpretations and written translation from/to Uzbek, Russian, English languages;
• Ensure translated texts convey original meaning and tone, conducts research on industry-specific terminology prior to interpreting session;
• Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy;
• Ensures original font and structure of the translated document is maintained;
• Provide administrative assistance to assigned organizational unit, sort and distribute communications in a timely manner;
• Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information;
• Schedule and plan meetings and appointments; meet and greet guests;
• Monitor level of supplies and handle shortages;
• Resolve office-related malfunctions and respond to requests or issues;
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with established policies
• Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, customers and colleagues
• Ensure protection of interests, non-disclosure of confidential information and documents to the third parties.

Professional requirements Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferably in the field of foreign language studies;
• Prior experience in administrative support and translation / interpretation;
• Fluency in Uzbek, Russian and English languages;
• Proficiency in French is a benefit;
• Familiarity with translation software;

Special Skills/Abilities Needed:

• Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors;
• Time management and strong ability to meet deadlines;
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing;
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision;

Additional information: Contract for the implementation of Phase 1 of the project, concluded between SUEZ and JSC "Uzsuvta'minot" regarding the districts of Denau, Sariosiyo, Shorchi and Qumqorgon:

Main purpose of the contract:

• Implement digital solutions (SCADA, AQUADVANCED, GIS);
• Develop a hydraulic model;
• Improve the Non Revenue Water (NRW);
• Improve the Asset Management;
• Modernize the customer management system;
• Install mechanical meters;
• Train local specialists;
• Prepare the feasibility study (FS) and other documentation for the main phase of the 25-year PPP project.
