We are looking for Accountant to join our growing team in Surkhandarya region, Denov city, Uzbekistan! Position Summary: The Accountant will be responsible for executing all accounting and financial activities related to the Surkhandarya Project, ensuring full compliance with local regulations, internal policies, and project-specific requirements. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, managing payments and receipts, tax compliance, and preparing financial reports. The position is based in Surkhandarya and requires close coordination and regular reporting to the central finance team in Tashkent. Responsibilities & Duties: • Maintain and manage all financial and accounting transactions for the Surkhandarya project, including fixed payments, variable expenses, bank operations, and budgets. • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal procedures and local standards. • Track and perform accounts payable and receivable activities related to suppliers, contractors, and other project partners. • Prepare and maintain records and receipts for all daily transactions, ensuring proper filing and documentation. • Ensure timely payments of taxes, social contributions, salaries, and other mandatory obligations in line with local regulations. • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings by preparing necessary accruals and financial adjustments. • Reconcile bank statements, monitor cash flow, and support the preparation of regular liquidity and financial position reports for the Tashkent office. • Support tax reporting and represent the company before local tax authorities and other government bodies as required. • Provide regular financial updates and analysis to the Tashkent finance team and participate in budget planning and forecasting activities. • Act as the primary financial point of contact for the Surkhandarya project team, ensuring alignment with SUEZ Uzbekistan's accounting policies and procedures. • Safeguard confidential financial and company information, ensuring compliance with internal data protection standards. |

| Professional requirements | Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. • Recognized accounting certification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CMA) is an advantage. • Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting, cost analysis, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and local taxation. • Proficiency in Uzbek, English, and Russian languages. • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office. • Experience with SAP is an advantage. Special Skills & Abilities: • Strong understanding of financial statements, profit and loss analysis, and cash flow scenarios. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work effectively with external and internal auditors. • High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information. • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships at all levels. • Advanced mathematics skills and attention to detail. • Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines. • Strong organizational and planning abilities. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Proactive, disciplined, detail-oriented, and dynamic approach to work |

| Additional information: | Contract for the implementation of Phase 1 of the project, concluded between SUEZ and JSC "Uzsuvta'minot" regarding the districts of Denau, Sariosiyo, Shorchi and Qumqorgon: Main purpose of the contract: • Implement digital solutions (SCADA, AQUADVANCED, GIS); • Develop a hydraulic model; • Improve the Non Revenue Water (NRW); • Improve the Asset Management; • Modernize the customer management system; • Install mechanical meters; • Train local specialists; • Prepare the feasibility study (FS) and other documentation for the main phase of the 25-year PPP project. |
