Accounting Specialist_temporary replacement position

Duties GIZ Country office announced position of Accounting Specialist for temporary replacement of main employee. Approximately 1 year.

Responsibilities:

Financial Services
• Monitoring income, expenditure and monthly bank reconciliation
• Checks all received invoices in terms of completeness and correctness, reviews all pay-ments to national consultants and suppliers
• Travel costs settlements of NMA and AMA according to the GIZ travel regulation
• Monitoring and submission to the HQ overview of business trips
• Manage cash funds for the Country Office

Internal control (of projects)
• Checks vouchers and receipts of projects for completeness and allocation to cost units and cat-egories and corrects where necessary
• Advises on financial aspects of projects
• Carries out Internal Controls in compliance with the GIZ internal control manual

Accounting
• Carries out accounting tasks for the projects using standard GIZ accounting software Winpaccs and prepare monthly, respectively as often as required, closing of periods, bank reconciliation (EOP) and uploading it to Winpaccs Cloud.
• Always update projects on internal corporate policies in finance and accounting
• Sending monthly reports to projects: project expense, open advances on five office journals after 15th date

Other duties
• Informs the Head of Administration and Finance and the team of all relevant updates and changes
• Reports all problems with financial administration without delay
• Files all documents according to GIZ Rules
• Performs other duties and tasks at the request of the management
• Undertakes further job training related to his/her position and duties, if required. Special training programs shall be identified and selected jointly with the line manager.

Professional requirements • University degree in Finance/Accounting or similar area;
• At least 3 years professional experience in a comparable position;
• Very good knowledge of Uzbek, Russian and English or German;
• Ability to work with high volume of information and meeting deadlines. Committed to tasks;
• Team player and also able to work independently;
• In-depth knowledge of accounting software;
• Good working knowledge of ITC technologies (MS Office).
