| Duties | *Make successful student learning the central consideration in all aspects of decision making *Communicate and model the kinds of behaviors and relationships required to succeed at TIS *Provide life-saving emergency health care to students when required *Provide guidance to the Director and Principal on appropriate health measures, including isolation or exclusion, for students and staff in cases of communicable illnesses such as COVID-19, in accordance with current public health guidelines *Recommend hygiene policy and enforce standards on campus *Maintains TIS medical supplies in the health unit *Manage and track the health unit budget *Execute medical-related expenditures for stock on hand *Participate in meetings with leadership on health-related topics *Maintain TIS first aid kits and inspect AEDs *Coordinate with TIC or local primary care providers for advanced/continued medical care *Secure and maintain student school medical records *Work with Health & Safety Committee to assess school environment for health and safety risks *Serve as consultant for food service personnel, physical education teachers, custodial staff, and teachers *Perform annual medical checks on students (lice, vision, etc) *Provide basic first aid training for staff members as required |

| Additional information: | The TIS Nurse is responsible for on-site medical care and disposition of students at the TIS. Providing life-saving medical care to students in emergency situations is the number one priority for the School Nurse. They maintain the TIS stock of medical supplies in the health unit and manage the budget. This is a full time position with a starting date: August 1st, 2025 Working houres are from 8am to 5pm, from Moonday to Friday. |
