| Duties | Project Overview: "The Project for Strengthening the Capacity of Education Research and Evaluation for Improvement of Education Quality" is jointly implemented by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The project strengthens classroom-based field research to support evidence-informed policymaking and enhance the PDCA cycle, with a focus on the "Check" and "Act" phases, to drive continuous improvement in education quality. To ensure smooth implementation of project activities, we are seeking a Research Coordinator to support daily project operations and coordination. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: •Data Management, Analysis, & Research Support: Assist teachers, researchers, and Ministry staff with classroom-based field research, including data collection, management, and basic analysis. •Documentation & Reporting: Draft official letters, application forms, and project reports; prepare monitoring sheets following JICA formats. •Interpretation & Translation: Provide interpretation and translation between Uzbek, Russian, English (and Japanese) for meetings, workshops, and documents. •Administrative & Operational Support: o Administration & Documentation: Handle filing, simple translation, accounting procedures, and support for Japanese experts' travel, meetings, and official visits. o Procurement & Logistics: Manage end-to-end procurement, including market research, quotation collection, delivery, customs clearance, and asset management. o Event & Meeting Coordination: Organize meetings, workshops, and training sessions, including schedules, venues, attendance lists, and minutes. •Public Relations & Communication: Support SNS updates, project brochures, and organization of education evaluation information. •Coordination & Liaison: Communicate with government counterparts, universities, and stakeholders; provide daily translation and coordination support for JICA experts. •Other Duties: Perform tasks necessary for smooth project implementation. |

| Professional requirements | •Bachelor's degree or higher •Excellent command of English, Uzbek, and Russian (speaking, writing, and translation) •Japanese language skills are a strong advantage •Work experience in international cooperation projects is highly desirable •Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines •Good communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders •Intermediate computer skills (Windows or Mac; MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) •Familiarity with data analysis and basic programming (e.g., R, Python) is an asset |
