Duties Background

Under overall supervision of Administrative Associate / Head of Administrative Services Unit and day-to-day supervision of Building Maintenance Workman the incumbent provides support to office operations performing routine duties ensuring high quality and accuracy of work. Two cleaners provide everyday services from 4.00am to 9.00am and one cleaner from 5 am to 1 pm. This schedule is arranged among 3 cleaners on a rotational basis.

Scope of Work
Perform office cleaning functions as required, including washing, sweeping and dusting;
Clean surfaces, including floors, furniture, wall, doors, windows, and other office supplies;
Empty and clean waste-paper baskets on regular basis:
Keep office premises clean;
Maintain and clean all cleaning equipment utilized;
Prepare office premises for the changes of year seasons;
Clean meeting/conference room facilities as and when required;
Ensure timely watering of greenery in the office premises;
Monitor and inform supervisor regarding stocks of all cleaning supplies;
The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.

Institutional Arrangement

Under the direct supervision of the Head of Administrative Services Unit, the Cleaner will be responsible for providing cleaning functions in the office premises in a timely and secure manner through fulfilling the assigned tasks.

Education:

Secondary education is required.

Experience:

At least 1 (one) year of experience as a cleaner will be an asset
Required skills:

Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team;
Initiative, ability to work under pressure, ethics and honesty.

Desired additional skills and competencies

Proven experience of working as support staff with international organizations and/or government agency.

Required languages:

Fluent in Uzbek and basic English is required,
Knowledge of Russian is advantage.
