Duties |
• Ensure continuity of 24/7 security service for the WHO Country Office premises, including residential areas. • Coordinate with WHO CO UZB AO and ASFP to oversee the performance of security guards assigned to the premises, ensuring compliance with WHO standards. • Conduct regular patrols of office premises and surrounding areas to detect and mitigate security risks. • Enforce access control procedures for vehicles, visitors, and staff to prevent unauthorized entry. • Inspect perimeter security features (doors, fences, lighting, etc.) and report any vulnerabilities or damages. • Maintain accurate and timely security documentation, including incident reports, patrol logs, and shift records, as per WHO and UNDSS SOPs. • Prepare monthly guard shift schedules in consultation with AO and ASFP and submit by the 25th of each month. • Monitor, test, and maintain security equipment (e.g., radios, surveillance systems), report malfunctions to AO. • Respond to emergencies (e.g., fire, medical incidents, security threats) in accordance with WHO protocols. • Ensure security personnel under supervision receive training in first aid, emergency response, and WHO safety procedures. • Collaborate with UNDSS, local authorities, and other security agencies on matters affecting WHO personnel and premises. • Uphold WHO code of conduct and ensure professional discipline within the security team. • Monitor third-party workers during building repairs or maintenance in the absence of custodians. • Conduct performance reviews for guards and provide feedback to AO and ASFP. • Perform additional duties as assigned by the AO, ASFP, or senior WHO management. |

Professional requirements |
Education: • Essential: Completion of secondary, technical, or commercial school. • Desirable: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; formal police, military, or recognized security training. Professional Experience: • Essential: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in security, including 1 year in a supervisory or senior-level role. • Desirable: Experience in international organizations or UN agencies. Languages: • Fluency in Uzbek and Russian (oral and written) — mandatory. • Basic proficiency in English (oral and written) — required for communication and reporting. Technical Skills: • Knowledge of HF/VHF radio operations. • Familiarity with host country safety codes and security protocols. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). • Valid driver's license required. • Must be physically fit and capable of meeting the physical demands of the job. • Availability to travel within Uzbekistan if required. Mandatory Documents (to be provided at hiring): • Valid Medical Certificate of Fitness for Work (for full contract duration). • Valid First Aid Certificate, including knowledge of emergency response (issued within the last 3 years).
