The U.S. Embassy in Tashkent is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Information Management Assistant in Public Diplomacy section under a temporary Personal Services Agreement (PSA Limited) for a maximum period of 30 calendar days in the 2025 fiscal year.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION: Responsible for development and support of unclassified PD Section's internet website. Maintains knowledge of leading IT technology to ensure the website is in constant state of improvement. Works with other PS Section staff and users to maximize the efficiency of the Maker Faire Tashkent website by troubleshooting software problems, recommending, and implementing improvements and continuing to extend the capabilities of the website on WordPress. Provides users support services in all matters related to computer hardware and software problems that are reported from the PD staff. Creates standard operating procedures and specific instructions on the use of software/website that in use by the PD Section. Advises supervisors on progress, status and any ongoing concerns with outstanding website configuration items and complex requests. Proposes solutions and innovative ideas for consideration. Provides training services when necessary and consults PD staff on the Maker Faire website management matters. Managing and optimizing the Maker Faire Tashkent website on WordPress, ensuring multilingual support, enhancing user experience, and integrating content seamlessly while maintaining visual appeal. Provides technical support, ensuring regular updates, and maintaining effective communication with PD staff to meet their needs and requirements. Performs other tasks assigned by American Spaces Program Specialist or Public Diplomacy Officer relate to the fields of Information Technologies and Communications. |

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE:
At least three years of experience in network administration, supporting computers, software, performing technical analysis and advisory services is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in proper systems administration and operations procedures are required.
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent is required;
Language requirements: Good working knowledge – English Good working knowledge – Russian |
