Duties Job Summary:
The Program Assistant (Junior) will provide administrative and operational support to the USAID Judicial System Strengthening Activity. This role will also involve significant communication responsibilities, including coordinating media relations, managing social media, and developing communication materials.

Program Support:
• Assist in preparing and submitting project documents, reports, and proposals.
• Coordinate administrative tasks related to project activities, such as meetings, travel arrangements, and procurement.
• Maintain accurate records of project activities.
• Support information dissemination, gather feedback, and ensure effective communication across the team.
• Provide support to project staff in various administrative and operational tasks.
Communication:
• Coordinate media inquiries and interviews.
• Write press releases, media advisories, and other communication materials.
• Manage social media accounts, including creating content, engaging with followers, and monitoring online conversations.
• Develop and maintain a communication plan for the project.
• Assist in the preparation of communication materials for project events and activities.

Professional requirements Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or a final year student in the field of law, communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience working on USAID-funded projects is preferred.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
• Knowledge of graphic design or video editing software.
• Experience with content management systems.
• Fluency English, Russian, and Uzbek languages.

Additional information: Background:
The Judicial System Strengthening Activity (JSSA), funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by East-West Management Institute, Inc., aims to improve the judicial system in Uzbekistan to meet better people's needs for justice, transparency, and independence.
JSSA works closely with the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Supreme Judicial Council, the Higher School of Judges, and other key national justice and judiciary stakeholders to achieve project goals and set objectives.
The Activity focuses on implementing international best practices, providing technical support to improve court performance management and capacities, enhancing communication among the judicial system, the media, and Uzbekistan's public, and strengthening Uzbekistan's engagement with the international justice community.
