Job Title: Project Assistant Project: Agribusiness Development Activity Classification: LT Local Duration of assignment: May 15, 2024 – May 14, 2025 Reports to: COP
Specific Tasks and Responsibilities: • Assist the team with planning and execution of programs and events. • Work with the Communications Director / FOD / M&E Manager/administrators and coordinators to promote program development. • Provide administrative support for program activities, such as preparing materials and resources, and communicating with participants. • Organize and manage meetings, events, and conferences. • Maintain program forms and paperwork and answer questions about program procedures. • Perform clerical tasks such as answering phone calls, filing documents, and greeting visitors. • Receive deliveries and packages and process incoming mail. • Prepare reports on program activities, progress, and outcomes. • Collaborate with other teams to ensure programs align with the company's goals and objectives. • Manage office calendars and send out reminders. • Schedule travel arrangements for executives and team members; • Coordinate any logistical issues; • Collaborate with the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager to plan and execute data collection and analysis, particularly focusing on sex- and age-disaggregated data. • Work with the Communications Director and project partners to identify, document, and disseminate success stories. • Assist the project team in Education, Agritourism, Policy and Extension Activities, including gathering data from partners for reporting purposes. • Undertake any additional tasks as assigned by the Communications Director |

Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in business management, project management, or a related field • Prior working experience in program management or assistance is advantageous • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant tools and software • Excellent verbal and written knowledge of English and Uzbek • Collaboration and teamwork • The ability to adapt to new situations quickly • Strong attention to detail • Outstanding organization and time management |

The USAID Agribusiness Development Activity (Project) is a five-year project that is working to: (1) increase the competitiveness of agribusinesses by introducing new technologies and management practices in the production, postharvest handling, processing, and marketing of agricultural products; (2) empower women and youth with the skills and knowledge to obtain skilled jobs with agribusinesses or launch their own agribusinesses; (3) link academia with the private sector to improve curricula and target academic research to meet the needs of agribusinesses; (4) strengthen and diversify agriculture extension services; and (4) design and improve policies to promote the growth and development of Uzbekistan's agricultural sector. |
