The Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) strengthens democracy around the globe through private enterprise and market-oriented reform. CIPE is one of the four core institutes of the National Endowment for Democracy and a non-profit affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. CIPE's key program areas include anti-corruption and governance, business associations and advocacy, democratic governance, access to information, and women's economic empowerment. Across Europe and Eurasia, CIPE has worked for over 20 years with businesses and civil society organizations to foster business cultures of integrity, lead dialogue on reforms to the business environment, and advocate for meaningful changes that enable all citizens to access economic opportunity and participate in democratic processes. The fourth phase of CIPE's Constructive Capital project builds on several years' experience in Corrosive Capital, anti-corruption compliance, and corporate governance in the new and emerging democracies of Europe and Eurasia as well as worldwide. Europe and Eurasia team members will substantively contribute to this project not only through a detailed project management approach, but also by deploying their expertise to conduct training and create thought leadership products. The project will benefit from individual staff who are experts in anti-corruption compliance, business ethics, collective action, and Corrosive Capital, in addition to the individual country contexts throughout this region. Finally, CIPE's network of regional compliance trainers and experts will support efficient, effective communication and knowledge exchanges. |
