Our school will open its doors to students at our state-of-the-art campus in September 2019. We enjoy the full backing of the long-established and highly-respected Westminster International University in Tashkent and aim to swiftly establish WIST as Tashkent's leading international school. WIST will educate children of the country's business elite and international diplomatic and business communities, using an adapted English national curriculum.
In September 2019 the school will offer the full range of Early Years and Primary School classes (Pre-Nursery - Year 6) to children aged 2-11. We will teach lessons that engage, excite and challenge young learners, fostering natural curiosity, a love of learning and a positive sense of belonging to our school family. The teaching team at WIST will be committed to ensuring that every child in our care not only receives a first-rate education but is emotionally and physically healthy.
WIST provides a state-of-the-art learning environment including spacious classrooms, a powerful ICT infrastructure, fully equipped art, science, computing and robotics rooms, a full-size gym, two swimming pools, a full-size football pitch and large outdoor play areas. |

Many of our host-country Early Years and Accelerated English Class Teachers hold internationally recognised qualifications and are extensively experienced in international schools in Tashkent and overseas. A number hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Education achieved at a UK University, like many of their expatriate colleagues.
Our expatriate and host-country Teaching Assistants are people with a positive grounding in education and childcare and many hold English language teaching qualifications and / or have extensive experience of work in international school settings. |
