The Government of Uzbekistan has received funding from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) and the OPEC Fund (jointly referred to as "Arab Coordination Group" or "ACG") for 4 water supply and sanitation projects in the Republic of Uzbekistan. These projects are aimed at expanding and improving water supply and sewerage services through the development of infrastructure and institutional support of the regional limited liability company "Suv taminot" ((LLC "Suv taminot").
In accordance with the Financial Agreements, the responsible line agency for the projects is ACG Project Management Unit (PMU) established under the Executive Agency, which is delegated with the responsibilities of overall coordination of the projects, monitoring, evaluation, reporting and support for procurement, financial management and resolution of more complex technical issues. The project implementation organization (regional LLC "Suv taminot") acts as the Client and is responsible for the implementation of the project, including the execution of works, project management, procurement, security, etc., as detailed in the Operational Project Manuals. |
