SOS Kinderdorf International is an international nongovernmental organization that for more than 50 years challenges the traditional methods of orphan care by pioneering the innovative approach whereby children are grown in family with SOS mothers, sisters and brothers. Successful rollout of this approach in more than 132 countries in the world since 1949 helped us to build a foundation of trust from our donors as well as other partners supporting us in our mission.
Our mission is to build families for children in need – orphaned, or those whose families are unable to tale care about them. Apart from providing a shelter, subsistence and a new family, we ultimately help these children to shape their future and develop their own community. We ensure that children receive the education and skills they need to become successful and contributing members of society. |
